Data Security & Transparency
Your data stays yours. Filesquid is designed with privacy, security, and transparency at its core.

Our Commitment
At Filesquid, we understand that connecting your cloud storage requires trust.
That’s why we’ve built our platform to ensure:
-
Your files remain in your control
-
Your credentials are never stored
-
Your data is accessed only when necessary
We follow industry best practices to protect your information and provide a secure experience.
How Filesquid Works with Your Data
Filesquid acts as a secure bridge between your Wix website and your cloud storage provider.
We do not store your files
We do not duplicate your data
We only fetch files when needed to display them in your widget
This ensures your data always remains in its original location.
Purpose of Access
When you connect your cloud account such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, Filesquid requests only limited permissions required to operate the app. Access is used solely to fetch and display your selected files, help you browse and choose folders, and keep your website updated in real time with the latest changes from your connected storage.
Why access is needed:
To fetch and display your selected files
To allow you to browse and select folders
To reflect real-time updates on your website
We only request permissions required for functionality — nothing more.
No Credential Storage
Filesquid never has access to or retains:
Your cloud account passwords are never stored by Filesquid.
Your login credentials remain private and inaccessible to Filesquid.
Sensitive authentication information is securely handled and never stored by Filesquid.
Authentication is handled entirely by trusted providers using secure protocols.

Secure Authentication (OAuth)
Filesquid uses industry-standard OAuth authentication for all integrations.
What this means:
-
You log in directly via Google, Dropbox, or Microsoft
-
Your password is never shared with Filesquid
-
Access is granted via secure tokens
You can revoke access anytime from your cloud provider settings.
Data Sovereignty
Your files stay in your cloud account under your control, with Filesquid only displaying content securely.
Stored in your own cloud account
Governed by your provider’s security policies
Under your full ownership and control
Filesquid does not move, copy, or host your files on external servers.
Data Minimization
Filesquid follows a data minimization approach by collecting and processing only the information necessary to operate the service, such as basic connection metadata and folder or file references. We do not store file content or access unnecessary personal data beyond what is required for functionality.
Filesquid only uses essential connection data and file references, not file content.
