Data Handling Principles
1. Information Collection
We collect basic account information (email and name) to create your Filesquid profile. Forcloud services, we only store the metadata necessary to build your unified file dashboard—this includes file names, sizes, and last modified dates.
2. Processing
Our "Fluid Architect" processing engine operates in real-time. File contents are processed for indexing and search optimization using encrypted buffers and are never persisted on our core servers longer than required for the specific task.
3. Security
We utilize AES-256 encryption for data at restand TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Our architecture is designed to isolate user environments, ensuring that your cephalopod workspace remains entirely your own.
Google User Data, Storage, and Disclosure
FileSquid connects to a user's Google account through Google's OAuth authentication system to access Google Drive data that the user has authorized the application to access. This access is used solely to provide the functionality requested by the user within their own website or application.
1. Data Storage
FileSquid does not store copies of Google Drive files, file contents, or other Google Drive data on its servers. Google Drive data is accessed directly from Google when required and is not retained by FileSquid.
To maintain a user's connection to Google services, FileSquid securely stores OAuth credentials, including access tokens and refresh tokens. These credentials are used only to authenticate requests to Google APIs on behalf of the user and to provide continued access to authorized Google services.
2. Sharing and Disclosure of Google User Data
FileSquid does not sell, rent, or share Google Drive data, access tokens, or refresh tokens with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.
Google user data may only be disclosed:
-
When required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
-
To protect the security, rights, and operation of FileSquid and its users.
-
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.
3. Google API Services Compliance
FileSquid's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Access & Permissions (OAuth)

-
Authentication is handled directly by the respective cloud provider using secure OAuth protocols.
No File Storage
-
Filesquid does not store, host, or duplicate user files.
-
All files remain within the user’s cloud storage account and are accessed only when needed for display purposes.
